Final Farewell
|
"I always knew that looking back on my tears I would laugh. But I never thought that looking back on my laughter, I would cry".
2 days until I no longer exist in this country. The feelings that I'm experiencing at this exact moment are so conflicting. I'm so nervous to leave this place that I've lived in for 17 years. I'm so sad to be leaving my family and friends. But I'm so excited to be living my dream. This is something that I need to do, something that I want to do. The only problem is that I'm scared. I'm scared that I'll miss my family too much. I'm scared that the 8 best friends I have here will slowly drift away over 4 years of me being a 10 hour car ride away (or $400 plane ticket). But, even with all that fear, all that nervousness, I want to do this. I want to be able to show my diploma to my mom, dad, brother, nanny and grandparents the same way I showed them my acceptance letter-beaming with happiness and a feeling that I did exactly what I said I would.
I'll miss everyone, more than they know. But when I think about it, "this must have been something so great, because saying goodbye is so hard".
I'm out. To my fam and friends-follow your dreams! A.P.-"We were the dreamers who never quit dreaming".

6 days until take off. I hate planes. Just thought you should all know.
Nicole decided to put up a wonderfully entertaining picture of her and I. It's ok, I'll forgive you one day smelly smurf, hehe I mean stinkysmurf. Wow that really wasn't funny, but I felt like saying it. Anyways, even though that picture is quite possibly the worst picture of me, it was a pretty great day. You're right Nicole-weird how things work out.
Now I am aware that there has been some controversy over the human existence of my buddy Shle. Let me just clear it up- She is real. In fact, I'm going to miss her a lot!!
Ok, I'm sure you can all imagine how nervous I am, so I won't even get into it today, maybe tomorrow. Byebye alligator pie.

p.s. Here is a picture of Shle and I at my house.

Let's see...today I'm doing a lot of work. Searching the internet, trying to get some interviews, scanning, articles and the list goes on.
On top of that, I have to get ready to leave! Ahhh. I'm gone in 11 days. 264 hours. 15840 minutes. 950400 seconds. I feel like I'm on a rollercoaster-I'm excited, scared, nervous, anxious, nervous, nervous and more nervous. But, even at the uppermost height of my nervousness, I still want to do this-my dream. Last year at this time in the summer, one of my best friends (FOREVER!!) and I went rollerblading. Sounds normal? Well we rollerbladed from Mississauga (her house) to Toronto (my house). For those of you who don't know how far it is-well it's far. It's about 5 hours far on rollerblades. Even though our ankles kept collapsing on us, we still had the greatest time...until Erin fell! Hehe, just some minor scrapes! Anyways, just thought I would tell you all about my GINORMOUS rollerblade, right Erin? I'll miss you, lots. Blue and Dangles forever (those are our nicknames).
p.s. here's a picture of Erin and I when we were at Briony's house!

Hey everyone!
Laterly I've been finishing articles, emailing TIG members and doing a little scanning with some lovely help from Amanda!
I saw American Pie 2 the other day with my friends Shle, Alex, Danny and Lee. It was pretty good. I thought it was going to be a bit better, but that's alright. I also went to Lindz's party which was great. We used to play hockey together (Scarborough Sharks!!) and now she's going to Minnesota-Mankato on scholarship to play hockey! She's an awesome defense...congrats buddy! I'll miss you lots!
12 days until I leave. I become more nervous and scared as the day nears. I guess it'll sort of be like my first day at Havergal (my highschool) because I didn't know anyone! But after a couple months, I had a new best friend named Roslyn. Here's a picture of her...I'm gonna miss her a lot too. We had so many jokes together and we had some good times! Anyways, just want you to know that I'll miss you lots. "Hodge Podge" -Make it last Roz!

The Devil’s Six
|
I did not have an enjoyable morning, nope not at all. Why, you ask? Well imagine this...I get my brand spankin new laptop yesterday and I decide to bring it home to show mommy, daddy and big bro Jordan, which means I must carry it on the bus and subway to work this morning. So I do. When I get on the subway at finch station, there are many seats. I decide to sit beside the place where the driver guy / person who opens and closes the doors is because I have so much fun watching him. Then a couple stations later, a man in his mid 20's walks on and stands right beside where I am sitting, even though there are plenty of seats. Peculiar? Yes I think so. But, I just figured that I smelled so nice that he wanted to stand there. Hehe. When we get to Eglinton Station, the man grabs my pretty laptop and is about to run out the doors. Oh no. Lucily, my door opening/train driver buddy ol' pal, saw the horrible occurance and closed the doors. Then he came out and pushed the yellow emergency button and a bunch of people came to my rescue. To make it short, I got my laptop back and he ended up assaulting the officer and so now I think he is on his way to wear some nice black and white stripes. What a shame for him.
On another note, my training continues. Time for me to get inspired, "I firmly believe that any man's finest hour, the greatest fulfillment of all that he holds dear, is that moment when he has worked his heart out in a good cause and lies exhausted on the field of battle - victorious." ...Vince Lombardi
